RE/MAX Founder Dave Liniger Advocate to Shorten Short Sales

September 2009 – Dave Liniger Goes To Washington

RE/MAX International Chairman and Co-founder Dave Liniger met with top housing officials in Washington D.C. to advocate to streamline the short sale process to help homeowners avoid foreclosure.  RE/MAX has  over 7,000 real estate agents trained to help homeowners avoid foreclosure through the “Cerified Distressed Property Expert” designation or CDPE.  Survey show that agents with the CDPE designation are twice as likely to have a successful “Short Sale”. 

Don & Kathy Vallee of Tucson, Arizona have earned the CDPE designation, they have successfully closed several short sales this year.
